great portraits 1. on the website i read about tips to take a really good portrait. these included lighting, personality, camera setting, and posing. i learned that there are certain aspects to taking a good portrait that benefits not only the photographer but the model as well, that i don't necessarily think about when i'm taking pictures. 2. why i chose this photo: her hair stands out from the blue/gray wall, and how she isn't smiling. rules of photography: lines, balance, depth of field who took it: dijon bowden spiral staircases 1. on the website i read about an architect photographer from a small town in germany. he goes to many abandoned houses and takes pictures of the staircases. he has a collection of these photos titled "abandoned staircases". 2. why i chose this photo: something about it looked different than the other staircases, the window is centered with the railing on the landing. rules of photography: lines, depth of field, balance, view...

One thing you could work on is making your subject and what you're taking a picture of clear.
