simplicity this shows simplicity because the man is in the forefront singling him out, showing him and the surrounding debris. rule of thirds this shows rule of thirds because the man in the front shows depth with the people walking behind him. lines this shows lines because the building has vertical lines that go in the same direction the man is falling. balance this shows balance because of the geometric shapes and the haze over the building in the back. framing this shows framing because the building frames the firefighter on the ladder. avoiding mergers this shows a merger because it looks like something is coming out of the guy's head.

i like this photo because of the contrast between the sky, flower, and lines. i picked this photo because it is really simple and pretty. the blue of the sky really stands out. i don't like this photo because it looks faded. the sky and the plants look washed out and lighter than they should be. i picked this photo because it was the better of the ones i took of nick.
